Rural Regional Review

Editorial policy

Rural Regional Review aims to make careful, clear writing about rural regions. We distinguish description from interpretation and take responsibility for correcting the record when a published detail is wrong.

Accuracy and context

We check factual claims against appropriate material before publication and avoid presenting a single example as true of every region. Where a subject is uncertain or interpretations differ, the wording should make that clear. Readers can use the Contact page to flag a possible error or missing context.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial choices are made for their relevance to the publication and its readers. Paid or partner material is identified clearly as such, and commercial relationships do not determine the conclusions of independent editorial coverage.

Corrections

When a material error is confirmed, we correct the affected passage and make the change clear where appropriate. A correction request should identify the article and explain the concern; use the Contact page to send it.

Images and illustrations

Images are selected to support the subject without implying that an illustrative image documents a specific place or event. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when they are, they are labelled accordingly.
